This is a sea kayak expedition format through the Strait of Magellan, Francisco Coloane Marine Park, the fjords of southern Tierra del Fuego; as Parry, Ainsworth and Almirantazgo including an overland section in southern Tierra del Fuego in the park Karukinka ,dedicated to conservation . A complete adventure through the very end of South American continent.

The trip is designed for true nature and adventure lovers, active people who are willing to experience nature, under Patagonian conditions, who also like good service and comfort in the mothership and enjoy sharing with other adventurers a good wine, a good experiences and nice adventures. No need to be skilled in the techniques of sea kayaking, but willing to learn, to follow instructions from our expert guides and leaders ,who will help and assist you at all times becoming a full expedition team.
This trip mix adventure and direct contact with nature, with the comfort and security that provides a Mothership or support vessel. It is a soft-adventure, but it goes a little further ... every place we will visit have points of interest; either historical, geographical, in flora & wildlife; - such as the humpback whale that returns to these channels to feed each year, traveling between Ecuador and sub-Antarctic waters-, scientifically , cultural, typical food, history and legacy of the nomad cultures of native sailors ;who now we imitate to explore its domains in fragile boats, as by kayak in the same way as they did only accompanied by wildlife in these waters, like; penguins, black-browed albatross, elephant seals, sea lions, petrels and cormorants, also with whales and dolphins. This is a complete adventure that takes us even in an overland at the end of the tour, to explore the south of Tierra del Fuego; forests, mountains and animals, such as large herds of wild guanacos. In this part we will know the conservation work carried out by the WCS, at Karukinka park, where scientific research is conducted and have the opportunity to walk along trails and get surprise with the beauty of the landscape of this place. Finally we will take a flight back to Punta Arenas, flying over the places where we were in our expedition, closing a great adventure in the South American continent.
Kayak Agua Fresca organized this expedition,in partnership with another company using a Support vessel to carry on this trip best know as Mothership. In a first part of the trip we paddle two days along the coast of the continent, surrounded by mountains and evergreen forests, guided by experts guides who are familiar with the area. In this section we will visit several historic sites, such as The lighthouse of San Isidro and Eagle Bay. On the second day we reach Cape Froward, the southernmost point of the American continent, making the journey a challenge.We will always be supported by the “Mothership”, providing us the security and warmth of a floating home every day, accompanied by typical food and a comfortable berths . This vessel makes us possible to reach the most remote places in less time, safely and comfortably.
After sailing through the continent the boat will brings us to Francisco Coloane Marine Park created for protection, conservation and research of biodiversity , specially the Humpback Whale . We will explore the main points of marine fauna and most beautiful places of the park.
Then we move on our Vessel to the next point of interest, visiting the Marine Park and the most interesting fjords of southern Tierra del Fuego, we will enjoy a privileged view of the Cordillera Darwin and its glaciers, making this trip designed to discover every day a different location.
We land in Tierra del fuego to continue our overland adventure, crossing Tierra del Fuego, passing through rivers, lakes, mountains and ancient forests to arrive to Karukinka Park certainly a nice way to end our exciting exploratory adventure.
Finally we fly from Tierra del Fuego to Punta Arenas, flying over the visited areas of the trip.
Day 1: Punta Arenas – Punta Árbol – Cape San Isidro - San Nicolás Bay
07:00 Pickup of passengers from hotel or agreed place.
08:00 Meeting with guides staff and briefing of our day adventure. Breakfast at the beach, then introduction to the kayak geAR and garments to all participants follow by a security kayak briefing and paddling techniques.
09:30 Start Paddling at Punta Arbol up to San Isidro cape. (1 hour)
10:30 Arrival at San Isidro Lighthouse area, visit highlight spots around the area
11:30 Paddle San Isidro Lighthouse up to San Nicolas Bay
14:30 Lunch time
16:00 Keep paddling heading to Rosas Bay (2 hours)
19:30 Dinner

Day 2: Rosas Bay - Cape Froward - Francisco Coloane Marine Park

08:30 Rendez vouz with the passengers at the deck for disembark in the zodiac boats to the beach.
09:30 Keep paddling heading to Cape Froward (1 hour)
11:00 arrival at Cape Froward, preparation and ascent to sea cross monument, time to see an amaze view of the mountain surroundings. Cocktail at the mountain top. Descent to the shore line.
13:30 Passengers boarding and sailing to marine park

18:00 Arrival at Francisco Coloane Marine Park. Whale watching on board vessel.
19:00 Gathering at the end of the trip for a light snack and a beer, while the next day technical talks will be given.

Day 3: Francisco Coloane Marine Park – Shag Pass – Ainsworth Fjord

08:00 Rendez vouz with the passengers at the deck for disembark in the zodiac boats to the beach.
09:00 Briefing : Security & Paddling techniques (on the beach)
09:30 Paddling start at Shag pass (wildlife route)
12:00 Return to the beach to connect with zodiac boats and back to the vessel.
13:00 Lunch time.
14:30 Rendez vouz with the passengers at the deck for disembark in the zodiac boats to the beach.
15:00 Start Paddling from Shag pass to Castellano Island (second point for whale watching). Four hours journey by inland waterways, to see waterfalls, rivers, valleys and islands, with great scenic beauty.
19:00 Return to the beach to connect with zodiac boats and back to the vessel.

Day 4 Ainsworth Fjord - Parry Fjord (Glaciers)
